Before you even
ask.
Answers to everything people bring up at the in-home consultation — service area, Coulisse selection, smart-home integration, child safety, warranty, and the two-to-four-week lead time from measure to installed product.
Nº 01 The visit
Service &
consultation.
A free in-home visit, honest measurement, and a written specification delivered within a few days.
What areas of South Florida do you serve?
Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties — including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Aventura, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Pembroke Pines, Weston, and all surrounding communities. Free in-home consultation and measure within the tri-county area. We do not currently travel outside these three counties.
How much does a consultation cost?
Nothing. In-home consultation, measure, and written quote are free across our service area — you are only committed when you approve a written proposal. No deposit is collected before approval.

What happens during the 90-minute consultation?
We assess every opening in context: light angles, privacy lines, glass type, ceiling heights, adjacent fabrics, and how each room is used through the day. We discuss smart-home integration if relevant, and walk you through the Coulisse textile and mechanism options that fit the home. No catalogues are opened — just real conversation and dimensions captured on-site.
Nº 02 The range
Products &
selection.
One family, end-to-end engineered: fabric, mechanism, and motor all designed to work together under one roof in Enter, Netherlands.
Why do you only carry Coulisse?
Coulisse is a Dutch family-run specialist that designs and manufactures its own textiles, systems, and motors end-to-end. Vertical integration means the fabric, mechanism, and motor are engineered to work together — fewer warranty calls, quieter operation, and products built to hold up to Florida UV and humidity. We'd rather stand behind one range we know intimately than resell five we don't.
What products do you carry?
The full Coulisse range across 6 product families: Roller, Double Roller, Honeycomb, Roman, Curtain Track Systems, and Panel. Each is available with the Motionblinds smart-motor platform. We can also specify from the Coulisse Collections library of curated textile stories.

Can I see fabric samples before I commit?
Yes. Samples from the Coulisse library can be brought to the in-home consultation, or sent ahead if you prefer to preview before we visit. Decisions about textile, light-transmission percentage, and color are made in your space, under your light — not in a showroom.
Nº 03 Motionblinds
Smart home &
motorization.
Certified for every major ecosystem. Acoustic engineering tuned in Coulisse's own soundproof lab. USB-C rechargeable or hard-wired 12V.
Do Coulisse blinds work with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and Matter?
Yes. The Motionblinds platform is certified for Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, and the Matter 1.2+ standard. Smart-home pairing is configured as part of every motorized installation. We'll walk you through scenes, schedules, and voice control before we leave.

What does "Absolute Silence" mean for motorized blinds?
Coulisse's premium Motionblinds motors run below 30 dB — quieter than a whispered conversation. Standard Motionblinds run 38–42 dB, which is still very quiet. Silence also comes from the silencing bracket hardware with liquid-silicone lining and precision-fit drive plugs, which can make motorized roller systems up to 15 dB quieter than standard setups.
<30 dB Absolute Silence · up to 15 dB quieter via silent bracket
Battery or hard-wired?
Both. Residential installs typically use USB-C rechargeable battery motors — no wiring, no construction, up to a year per charge on shorter windows. For commercial, hospitality, and full-home setups, hard-wired 12V is available for zero-maintenance operation. We recommend the right choice based on the opening, usage pattern, and whether you have a quiet-hours preference.
Nº 04 Standards
Safety &
warranty.
Every residential Coulisse product sold through us meets the ANSI/WCMA A100.1 child-safety standard. Warranties honored directly.
Are Coulisse blinds child-safe?
Every Coulisse residential product we sell meets ANSI/WCMA A100.1 — the US child-safety standard. Cordless operation is built into the mechanism, not bolted on afterwards. Motorized Motionblinds have no exposed cords by design. For families with young children, motorization is often the cleanest answer, but cordless manual options are equally safe by spec.

What is the warranty?
Five years on the mechanism, two years on Motionblinds motor batteries, lifetime on workmanship for our installation. Coulisse honors warranties directly through us as the authorized dealer of record — you never have to chase a manufacturer or reseller chain.
5 yr mechanism · 2 yr motor battery · lifetime workmanship
Can I just buy the blinds and install them myself?
Coulisse products are sold through authorized dealers with included measure and install — that is how the product warranty is honored. If you are a trade professional measuring for your own project, contact us and we can route you to our design-pro program.
Nº 05 Timeline & site
Lead time &
logistics.
Made-to-measure manufacture in Enter, NL. Lead time is 2–4 weeks from approval. We install on every window type South Florida throws at us.
What is the typical lead time from order to install?
Two to four weeks for made-to-measure orders manufactured in the Netherlands. Stock-size items and Motionblinds motors ship faster. We schedule the installation appointment at the time of order so you know the full timeline upfront — no guesswork.

Do you handle hurricane shutters or impact glass openings?
We install blinds on impact glass the same way we install on any window — the blind mounts to the frame, not the glass. For homes with rolldown hurricane shutters, we discuss clearance during the consultation. We do not install hurricane shutters themselves.
Do you offer financing?
For qualifying projects we can offer installment options through our partner finance program. Mention financing at the consultation and we will walk you through the options alongside the written specification.
Still have questions
We'd rather have a
ten-minute conversation.
If your question isn't here, the fastest path is a free in-home visit across Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach — or a short phone call before we come out. No pressure, no deposit.
